The 59th JIBS doctoral thesis was nailed to the wall on the second floor of the entrance hall today. This is an old ceremony that takes place before the defence of the thesis, where the candidate literally nails his or her dissertation to the wall, to show that no more changes will be made.

The doctoral candidate was Tobias Dahlström, who has written a thesis on corruption, its causes and how it may be prevented. He nailed his thesis without bloodshed and afterwards there was wine and refreshments.

If you are interested in the dissertation, please do not remove it from the wall – it will be available from the University Library!
